The Northwest Swift Fly-In was a great success! There were 20 Swifts, along with a few other airplanes, and the participants had a wonderful time here in Cottage Grove.  There were a couple of float trips down the river, karaoke and dancing ’til the wee hours, and a lot of laughs.

We turn our attention now to the 34th Annual Jim Wright Memorial Stearman Fly-In, on August 3, 4 and 5.  Most of the Stearman planes will arrive before dark on Friday and they’ll all be gone by noon on Sunday, so if you want to come out and see some wonderfully restored biplanes, Saturday is the day to do it.  There will be a food truck in the parking lot, biplane rides for sale, and the Stearman pilots usually do some formation flying as well.

The weather is (so far) expected to be very nice, so come on out and join us!
