License Plates
Why care about license plates? It’s simple:
Oregon was the first state to issue license plates for airplanes!
The images below show some of the license plates collected by Myron Buswell, one of the original “Beaverton Outlaws” who flew out of Bernard Field in Beaverton in the 1920s and 1930s. These pilots flew aircraft they designed and constructed in compliance with state law but without federal licenses, hence the “outlaw” title. The license plates shown below are on long-term loan from Annette Buswell Whittington, daughter of Myron Buswell and member of the OAHS Board of Directors. We are grateful for the loan and encourage you to come down to see the plates in person!

Now you can own your own commemorative License Plate.
