Don Holmes was my grandfather. I grew up hearing stories of the plane and how the dash was made with just pictures of gauges cutout from magazines. I had never seen it before so thank you for putting this video “Out On The Farm” together. It was such a pleasure to get to hear my grandpa talking about the plane again.
I would love to have a copy of the article that was written about Don & Dale Holmes in the Triple A Flyer, Oct-Nov 1944. I can see there is more to the story then was told on the video. Would be happy to pay for it.
