Visit us in historic Cottage Grove! Come for the fly-in and stay for the weekend in this picturesque town, recently featured in Travel + Leisure magazine. Cottage Grove is nestled in the southern Willamette Valley, named by Time magazine as one of the world’s greatest places of 2023!
All fly-ins take place at the OAHS hangar on the west end of the Cottage Grove State Airport (61S) at 2475 Jim Wright Way

About 400 people enjoyed the warm, sunny day spent looking at vintage cars, planes and motorcycles.

Thank you to our sponsors:
Banner Bank, Greyson Commercial, The Bookmine, Cottage Theater, Parsons Financial, Starfire Lumber, Jack Sprats, Cottage Grove Veterinary, Jim Bales and Daniel Cathey

A big shoutout to Shawna at Home Skillet for providing everyone with great eats and to all the wonderful volunteers that helped bring the event together. We couldn't have done it without you!

After a very successful year-long display at Oregon Historical Society in Portland, the Wimpy and other artifacts returned home to Cottage Grove in January 2026. Estimates are that over 40,000 visitors viewed the display. We owe a big debt of gratitude to David Hedberg and the special team at OHS that made this possible and gave us the opportunity to showcase the stories that make Oregon aviation history so special. The 1930's became known as Oregon's "golden age of aviation" and we are updating displays here at the history center with much of the signage from the Portland display. This will allow us to continue to tell those stories, and we hope you will stop in soon to discover the faces and places that shaped this transformative decade in flight and how it influences the present.
