Events

After a very successful year-long display at Oregon Historical Society in Portland, the Wimpy and other artifacts returned home to Cottage Grove in January 2026.   Estimates are that over 40,000 visitors viewed the display.   We owe a big debt of gratitude to David Hedberg and the special team at OHS that made this possible and gave us the opportunity to showcase the stories that make Oregon aviation history so special. The 1930's became known as Oregon's "golden age of aviation" and we are updating displays here at the history center with much of the signage from the Portland display. This will allow us to continue to tell those stories, and we hope you will stop in soon to discover the faces and places that shaped this transformative decade in flight and how it influences the present.

Wings and Wheels 2026 will be held June 27, 2026.   Stay tuned for details!  

The Fly-in had to be cancelled last year due to maintenance by Department of Aviation being done on our taxiway.  See you all in 2026!
