Read our article about this historic homebuilt in the September 2023 issue of EAA's Sport Aviation!
Both model and full-scale plans are for sale! We have copies of plans drawn by George Bogardus, the same ones our volunteers used to restore Wimpy. Please note that these plans are historical artifacts. They're intended for educational use only and are not guaranteed to any airworthiness standards. Contact us for more information.
Wimpy's legacy is far from weak: this homebuilt plane with Oregon roots influenced aircraft design around the nation. We're proud to display this fully restored plane in our museum thanks to the generous support of our members and the hard work of our volunteers. By joining as a member or donating to OAHS, you help bring the story of Oregon aviation history to others!
Wimpy was designed by Les Long of Cornelius, Oregon.
