2018 Beaverton Outlaw Presentations:
January 12th 10am & 12pm: Hood River, OR Join us for WAAAM’s second Saturday showcasing the Beaverton Outlaws and Oregon’s early aviation history!
February 16th 10:00am: Cottage Grove, OR OAHS will be at the Cottage Grove Historical Society’s monthly presentation. Join us right here in our hometown to share in Oregon’s aviation history!
Did you know that it was illegal to build and fly your own aircraft in the US until 1952? Did you know that Oregon aviators paved the way, and fought diligently for the experimental regulations that we have today?
Join the Oregon Aviation Historical Society for a presentation on this and so much more! We bring videos that include interviews with these early aviators who tell what it was like to fight with the feds prior to WWII and how they fought to change the regulations after.
We will also talk about the mission and some of the dispalys at OAHS. Including the Baby Fleet, the RV3, and the Story Specials #1 and #2 which all had tremendous impact in experimental aviation history, and all from right here in Oregon. We are proud to share our states deep roots in aviation history.
Hope to see you there!
